Job summary

Mechanical Concepts LLC in Metairie, LA is seeking an experienced HVAC Parts Store Manager to build and lead a high‑performing parts operation for the New Orleans / South Louisiana market. You will drive sales, manage pricing and inventory, and ensure superior customer service while leading a team of technicians and staff.

The role demands a hands‑on leadership style, ownership, and the ability to develop contractors, technicians, and service teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent HVAC industry experience.
• 6–8+ years of HVAC parts, distribution, or sales experience.
• 4+ years of leadership experience.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
• Accounts payable/receivable experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing parts team.
• Drive sales through strong relationships with contractors, technicians, and service teams.
• Oversee daily operations of the parts store.
• Lead by example through active involvement in daily operations.
• Set expectations for work ethic, accountability, customer service, and performance.
• Manage inventory strategy, product mix, and stock levels.
• Ensure accurate inventory control and accountability.
• Establish competitive pricing while maintaining strong margins.
• Support contractors, technicians, and service teams with orders, technical questions, and issue resolution.
• Handle escalated customer issues professionally and efficiently.

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on HVAC Parts Store Manager to build and lead a high‑performing parts operation in the New Orleans / Metairie area.

This is not a typical parts manager role. You will be responsible for building the operation, developing the team, driving sales, managing inventory and pricing, and establishing a parts department known for responsiveness, reliability, and exceptional customer service.

The right candidate will take ownership, lead from the front, and create a culture that supports contractors, technicians, and service teams at a high level.

Qualifications

Full‑time with 40 hours guaranteed each week
Bi‑weekly pay and overtime as needed
Performance‑based incentive plan
Competitive pay based on experience

10 days of paid vacation each year, in addition to earned PTO
Vacation may be carried forward in accordance with company policy

Earned PTO

Earn 4 hours of PTO per month following the applicable 90‑day waiting period
PTO may be used for illness, personal time, appointments, and personal or family emergencies
Earned PTO may be carried over in accordance with company policy

Coverage is available beginning the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.

Mechanical Concepts pays 50% of the medical insurance premium for employee or family coverage
Dental and vision insurance available

401(k) eligibility after 6 months of employment
Company matches 100% of the first 3% contributed, plus 50% of the next 2%
Optional company profit‑sharing contribution; historically funded each year since the plan was established

Full‑time, in‑office position in Metairie, LA, serving the greater New Orleans / South Louisiana market. Remote work may be available during weather events or illness in accordance with company practices.
