Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Mechanical Systems Technician Trainee (un). You will perform mechanical installations and troubleshoot under mentorship, servicing heavy commercial and industrial equipment.

The role includes problem resolution, warranty response, and delivering efficiency improvements for client facilities. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, familiarity with HVAC equipment, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license.

How you will do it

Tradesman shall perform mechanical installations and drive results, mentored by your peers and all other work coming under the labor agreement assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the Employer, at the respective apprentice rate of pay, and shall perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer. Troubleshoots and resolves problems. Responds to basic warranty calls. Keeps JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

Pay Range

Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
