Job summary

Power Design is seeking a Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Engineering and Virtual Design and Construction team. You will ensure quality in mechanical designs, perform HVAC load calculations, select equipment, and lay out ducts and piping for large-scale projects.

The role requires collaboration, strong knowledge of mechanical systems, and experience with VRV/WSHP/DX Split systems or Revit. You will apply relevant codes and contribute to safe, compliant design implementations.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of constructability and design fundamentals for mechanical systems.
• Experience with VRV, WSHP, and DX Split systems and/or Revit experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent HVAC field experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the best design solutions for mechanical and plumbing systems by applying industry knowledge and quality standards.
• Provide design direction, support, and guidance to all team members while reviewing drawings to ensure quality and constructability.
• Apply code knowledge of the IECC, ICC, and ASHRAE Standards, as well as local codes and construction safety requirements.
