Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Engineering and Virtual Design and Construction team. You will ensure quality assurance for mechanical designs, perform HVAC load calculations, select equipment, and lay out ductwork and piping for large-scale projects.

You will apply IECC, ICC, and ASHRAE standards, plus local codes and safety requirements, while collaborating with engineers and designers to deliver constructible, compliant designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or HVAC field.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes: IPC, IMC, IBC, ASHRAE.
• Experience with VRV, WSHP, and DX Split systems; Revit is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, submittals, and specifications.
• HVAC load calculations and duct sizing/layout for air distribution.

• Coordinate design solutions for mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Provide design direction and review drawings for quality and constructability.
• Apply IECC, ICC, ASHRAE codes and local safety requirements.
