Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage turnkey mechanical construction projects including boiler and chiller upgrades and piping installations.
• Oversee pre-bid planning, scoping, scheduling, and project execution.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, general contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project costs, invoicing, change orders, and RFIs.
• Ensure safety compliance and adherence to contracts, specs, and codes.
• Maintain strong client relationships to ensure successful project completion.

Pay Rate: $70,000 to $$90,000/YEAR

Location: Bellevue, IL

We are looking for an HVAC / Mechanical Project Manager to manage turnkey mechanical construction projects, including boiler and chiller upgrades, piping installations, and HVAC replacement projects across Central Illinois. The candidate will oversee projects from pre-bid planning and scheduling through execution, installation, and commissioning.

• Manage commercial and industrial HVAC, mechanical construction, piping, and energy infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with sales estimators during pre-bid planning, project scoping, and scheduling.
• Oversee project execution, field operations, manpower, materials, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, general contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor job costs, project progress, invoicing, change orders, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, contracts, project specifications, and applicable codes.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure projects are completed successfully.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC/mechanical construction, mechanical service, or project management.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, piping, and job-site operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, field crews, and subcontractors simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Preferred Education

• Associate degree with relevant construction project management experience, or a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical activities as required on job sites.
• Ability to visit and navigate active construction sites and coordinate with field teams.
• Ability to work in varying job-site conditions as needed to oversee project execution.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary of $70,000-$90,000+, based on experience.
