Job summary

CoolSys is hiring for a Journeyman/Apprentice-level role in the HVAC and refrigeration sector, based in the United States. The candidate will serve as the lead technical resource on projects, monitor progress, manage costs, and coordinate with peers, clients, and subcontractors.

Travel up to 90% of the time is required. Qualifications include a college degree (plus), 5+ years in commercial construction or related trades, and strong organizational and safety-practice skills.

Qualifications

• College degree, a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or related industry/trade.
• Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours.
• Ability to organize tasks.
• Ability to use good judgment in making work assignments.
• Ability to give clear instructions and guidance as needed.
• Ability to maintain project labor hours within acceptable limits and request change orders as needed.
• Ability to ensure safe work practices and compliance with Safety policies.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Track record of punctuality and dependability.
• Ability to manage time, delegate assignments and follow through to ensure good results.
• Ability to understand and follow all company policies and applicable laws.
• Ability to use computer tools including E-Mail, Word, Project Planning Software (Projectmates).
