Job summary

The K Company, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Solutions Group in Akron, OH. This role combines office work with field tasks such as site surveys and client meetings, under the guidance of licensed professionals to build hands-on HVAC experience.

Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degrees and up to 4 years of HVAC experience, with strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills, and a willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–4 years HVAC/mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform heating & cooling load calculations and develop HVAC system designs.
• Support energy audits and financial analysis for energy conservation measures.
• Create and modify AutoCAD construction drawings.
• Assist the sales team with technical proposals and client site visits.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
