You will support projects through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning, travel to customer facilities for meetings and site work, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

A Facilities HVAC Mechanical Engineer is required for a role focused on the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of industrial HVAC and mechanical systems for technically complex laboratory, process, and industrial projects.

Working alongside engineers across multiple disciplines, the Facilities HVAC Mechanical Engineer will take responsibility for mechanical engineering activities across projects involving R&D, production, laboratory, and manufacturing environments. The Facilities HVAC Mechanical Engineer / HVAC Mechanical Engineer Role:

• Design industrial HVAC and mechanical systems across laboratory, process, and industrial projects.
• Support projects through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Work with chilled water, tower water, process water, hot water, steam, gas, refrigeration, and compressed-air systems.
• Engineer comfort and process air-side systems to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines throughout project delivery.
• Manage multiple priorities while responding to changes in deadlines, project scope, and design.
• Provide client-facing engineering support and maintain a high standard of service.
• Travel to customer facilities for design meetings, equipment installation supervision, and commissioning.

Facilities HVAC Mechanical Engineer / HVAC Mechanical Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering degree.
• Multiple years of industrial HVAC and mechanical systems design experience within a consulting engineering firm or Design/Build mechanical contractor.
• Knowledge and experience with chilled water, tower water, process water, hot water, steam, gas, refrigeration, compressed air, and comfort and process air-side systems.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and changing deadlines effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to customer facilities as required.
• Previous experience with a mechanical contracting firm is desirable but not essential.
• Experience with fire suppression, plumbing systems, or PLC control systems would be advantageous but is not required.
