Job summary

Mavensoft Technologies is seeking an HVAC Mechanic III to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, and related equipment at our El Segundo site. You will follow blueprints, install and service systems, and ensure compliance with building codes.

This onsite 12-month W2 contract requires a Universal EPA License 608, US citizenship, a high school diploma with 4 years of HVAC experience, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work from ladders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of HVAC experience.
• Must own Basic HVAC Tools.
• Must possess a Universal EPA License 608 and a California Driver's License.
• Ability to work 9/80A Schedule.
• Experience in maintenance trades: machine repair, machine controls, and/or electrical.
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic components related to HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Experience working in a Central Plant.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC and related equipment (AHUs, Chillers, Cooling Towers, VAVs, Heaters, Boilers, Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Coolers, Freezers).
• Conduct inspections to determine necessary repair and maintenance work to prevent breakdowns.
• Use hand and power tools to troubleshoot, test, inspect, and repair machines and equipment.
• Review blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Install, service, modify, rebuild, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Monitor and maintain Central HVAC building automation systems and pneumatic systems.
• Document and maintain records for the Maintenance Department.
• Be physically capable of climbing, lifting over 50 lbs, and following written/verbal instructions.
• Work on an on-call basis as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment (AHUs, Chillers, Cooling Towers, VAVs, Heaters, Boilers, Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Coolers, Freezers).
• Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine necessary repair and maintenance work to prevent breakdowns.
• Use hand and power tools to troubleshoot, test, inspect, and repair machines and equipment.
• Review and follow blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Install, service, modify, rebuild, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations.
• Monitor and maintain centralized HVAC building automation systems, including pneumatic systems and direct digital control.
• Document and maintain records for the Maintenance Department, including preventive maintenance activities and service reports.
• Be physically capable of working in high places from ladders, able to lift over 50 lbs, and follow exacting written and verbal instructions.
• Work on an on-call basis and handle responsibilities assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with 4 years of experience in HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Must own Basic HVAC Tools.
• Must possess a Universal EPA License 608 and an Active California Driver's License.
• Ability to work 9/80A Schedule.
• Experience working in one or more of the maintenance trades: machine and equipment repair, machine controls, and/or electrical.
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic components related to air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Experience working within a Central Plant.

• Experience in Aerospace/Defense Industry.

• Experience with building maintenance management and tracking systems (work orders, Computer-Aided Facilities Management, Maximo).
• Knowledge of building automation control systems and troubleshooting I/O.
• Good communication skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience working on HVAC equipment in a manufacturing environment that serves production machines.
