Job description

Responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining all heating, ventilation, and cooling systems in the hospital.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper temperatures and ventilation throughout the hospital. Maintain all control systems (electric and pneumatic) for AHU and chillers.
  • Ensure all medical gases are maintained at proper pressures. Test heating and cooling water and add chemicals as needed.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to maintain all equipment. Repair any equipment that is not operating properly.
  • Install all new equipment, including duct installations and piping for medical gases.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications:

  • Vocational/technical training and a minimum of five years of job-related experience or equivalent are required.
  • RI Refrigeration License is also required.
