HVAC Mechanic

The University of Miami/UHealth department of Facilities has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time HVAC mechanic to work at the UHealth Campus. The HVAC Mechanic, licensed, troubleshoots and maintains efficient operations of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems in assigned facilities. The role also involves maintaining refrigeration systems and ensuring timely work to keep facilities secure and operational.

1. Maintain up-to-date records on work performed and pending, reporting routinely to management.
2. Participate in HVAC or safety training; read prints, sketches, and diagrams.
3. Make estimates and report costs to management.
4. Maintain an orderly work area and safeguard tools, equipment, and parts. Train staff on equipment maintenance and servicing.
5. Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
6. Assist in maintaining repair parts inventory.
7. Operate central chiller plant and air handling systems efficiently to ensure occupant comfort at minimal cost.
8. Adhere to University policies and safeguard assets.
