Job Overview:

The Plant Operations department maintains the physical environment of the hospital buildings and grounds, supporting each HCA facility in its commitment to the care and improvement of human life.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid New Jersey Driver License
• Certificate in HVAC&R preferred; Refrigerant Transition & Recovery Certification (Type II, III or Universal)

Certifications:

• Valid New Jersey Driver License
• Certificate in HVAC&R preferred; Refrigerant Transition & Recovery Certification (Type II, III or Universal)

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Operate chillers, fans, pumps, heat exchangers, and other HVAC equipment
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment such as pumps, valves, radiators, fans, motors, heaters, condensate tanks, pneumatic controls, thermostats, fan coil units, refrigeration units, and window AC units
• Install, maintain, and repair steam, hot water, and chilled water piping and related equipment
• Perform scheduled rounds to inspect HVAC equipment
• Change filters in air handling units, fan coil units, and window units as needed
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
• Follow departmental policies, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
