Duke University Health System is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across Duke Hospital, Clinic facilities, and Research spaces. You will interpret blueprints, set initial and final system configurations, and ensure compliant operation of diverse equipment.
Two years of relevant experience in refrigeration/air conditioning is required, along with an educational background in skilled trades.

Perform basic level work in the installation of (HVAC) systems and equipment within Duke Hospital, Clinic facilities, Research facilities and outlying building in accordance with pertinent local, state, and federal codes and regulatory requirements.
Experience/training in a healthcare setting preferred.
Education - Work requires an educational background normally equivalent to high school with course work in skilled craft or trades training.
Experience - Work requires 2 years of experience in charging small refrigeration appliances, changing compressors, belts and valves, and adjusting and calibrating temperature and humidity controls.
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $20.90 to USD $33.54.
