Job summary

Elanco is seeking an Engineering Consultant - Mechanical/HVAC for its Fort Dodge, IA facility. You will join the Engineering team to support design, reliability, and continuous improvement of HVAC systems and facility utilities, leading capital projects from planning through startup.

The role requires a background in HVAC/mechanical systems, project engineering, and experience in industrial/manufacturing environments, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, an associate’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with HVAC/mechanical systems and project engineering in industrial or manufacturing settings; proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support capital projects involving HVAC, mechanical utilities, piping, and clean room design from planning through startup.
• Review specifications, drawings, URS/FRS, and qualification documents; ensure right-first-time delivery.
• Manage contractor submittals, schedules, budgets; maintain validated cGxP compliant utilities and systems.
• Drive continuous improvement and provide troubleshooting for HVAC and mechanical systems.
