Job summary

Bosch Home Comfort Group in Norman, OK seeks a skilled Controls Engineer to design, implement, troubleshoot, and improve control systems for high-volume HVAC manufacturing. You will support production lines, presses, lasers, and related automation to maximize uptime, safety, and quality.

The role emphasizes hands-on automation, with collaboration across Maintenance, Facilities, and Engineering to drive improvements and implement new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3 years of hands-on experience as a Controls/Automation Engineer in a manufacturing environment (HVAC, automotive, or heavy industry).
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and robotics is required.
• Knowledge of safety circuits and electrical design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, commission, and maintain PLC-based control systems and HMIs.
• Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Facilities, and Engineering on upgrades and new installations.
• Develop control logic, safety interlocks, and improve throughput and energy efficiency.
• Create accurate documentation including schematics and SOPs.
• Provide technical training and support to maintenance staff.
• Manage small to medium-capital projects related to controls and automation.
