Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary: Maintains pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical controls on Plant Operations/Maintenance equipment, including HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, and regulators. Maintains electrical distribution systems, including emergency generators. Documents all tests, repairs, and inspections. Performs activities across electrical, refrigeration, plumbing/welding, electro-mechanical, and casualty maintenance, monitoring work and identifying process improvements.

• Adapts techniques to age groups served, respecting cultural and spiritual needs.
• Performs daily maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, and electromechanical systems, including DDC controls and Building Automation System.
• Reads blueprints, manuals, and schematics; maintains compliance with codes.
• Inspects, calibrates, and repairs controls and systems; troubleshoots HVAC and electrical systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance regularly.
• Maintains documentation and blueprints; works with regulatory agencies and contractors.
• Handles hazardous chemicals properly.
• Works on-call during after-hours, holidays, and weekends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid State of Kansas Driver’s License and insurable to operate company vehicle.
• Preferred: EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• Vocational school graduate or relevant experience required.
• Preferred: Several years of technical maintenance experience in HVAC, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
