Wighton's Electric, Plumbing, Heating, and Air is hiring an HVAC Maintenance Technician in the Central Coast area. You will diagnose heating and cooling issues, explain install options to customers, and coordinate with teammates to complete jobs safely.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance (residential and/or commercial).
• Familiar with HVAC systems: furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, air handlers.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

As an HVAC Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in our team’s success by troubleshooting and resolving heating and cooling issues, explaining the installation process to customers, and coordinating with teammates to get the job done safely and exceptionally. In this role, you’ll perform HVAC maintenance and repairs while recommending multiple service options to customers to ensure we meet their needs and preferences. You’ll work cross functionally with coordinators to provide exceptional customer service and help streamline company operations by providing detailed recording keeping for future service projects. Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose issues and clearly explain the installation process to customers, providing multiple offering and pricing options based on their needs and preferences
• Perform maintenance and repairs while delivering the highest standards of craftsmanship and cleanliness
• Through our best-in-class training, learn to take on more advanced projects Provide detailed record keeping and reporting for the benefit of customers and company operations
• Uphold the highest standards of safety for yourself, your teammates, and your customers
• Deliver excellent customer service and always maintain a professional appearance and attitude
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and safe working conditions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or technical training preferred
• Valid EPA 608 Certification
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC maintenance (residential and/or commercial)
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including furnace, AC units, heat pumps, and air handlers
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance, inspections and basic repairs
• Familiar with local codes, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., work on ladders, and in confined spaces
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored visa sponsorship. The Company participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility.

Compensation & Benefits

• $60K-$100K (hourly, plus commission)
