Job summary

Reynolds Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air in Eugene/Corvallis, Oregon, is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform residential maintenance and tune-ups on newer systems, educate homeowners, and build lasting relationships.

You’ll work Monday–Friday with a starting pay of $20 per hour, company van and tools provided, and 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision benefits. Grow technical and professional skills in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• HVAC maintenance experience preferred.
• Residential HVAC system knowledge and local codes.
• EPA certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Commitment to ongoing education and growth.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential HVAC maintenance and tune-ups on newer systems.
• Inspect equipment and communicate recommendations clearly to homeowners.
• Build strong customer relationships through professional service.
• Ask questions to understand comfort concerns and identify solutions.
• Explain repair options, maintenance plans, and financing.
• Meet performance and revenue goals while prioritizing customer needs.
• Collaborate with dispatch and install teams for a great experience.
• Keep work area clean and company vehicle organized.
• Complete invoices, timecards, and job notes accurately.
• Participate in training, meetings, and company events.
• Mentor apprentices and help develop junior technicians.

What You Will Do

• Perform residential HVAC maintenance and tune-ups on systems less than 10 years old
• Inspect equipment, identify potential concerns, and communicate recommendations clearly to homeowners
• Build strong customer relationships through professionalism and exceptional service
• Ask thoughtful questions to understand customer comfort concerns and identify solutions
• Educate customers on repair options, maintenance plans, and financing opportunities
• Meet individual performance and revenue goals while always putting the customer's needs first
• Work closely with dispatch, customer service, and the install team to provide an outstanding customer experience
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and well-stocked company vehicle
• Complete accurate invoices, documentation, timecards, and job notes
• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and company events
• Mentor apprentices and help develop the next generation of technicians

What We Are Looking For

• HVAC maintenance or service experience preferred
• Working knowledge of residential HVAC systems and local mechanical codes
• EPA Certification preferred or ability to obtain
• Commitment to ongoing education, including pursuing NATE certification
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to build trust and confidently recommend solutions that fit customer needs
• Highly organized with excellent follow-through and attention to detail
• High integrity, professionalism, and personal accountability
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Team-oriented while motivated to achieve individual performance goals
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
