Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our Production & Facilities function. You’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team, performing maintenance across HVAC and related facilities equipment.

Position requires 0–3 years of industrial technician experience, ability to read drawings, and proficiency with soldering and refrigeration theory.

Qualifications

Minimum 0–3 years of experience as an industrial technician with a foundation in HVAC equipment.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams or schematics.
Experience with soldering including soft solder, brazing, and silver soldering.
Proficiency with refrigeration theory and use of refrigerant gauges.
Demonstrated ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems related to facilities equipment.
Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical operations.

Responsibilities

Read layouts, diagrams, and project documents to complete tasks.
Inspect, repair, install, modify and maintain HVAC, HV, AC equipment.
Assist other Facilities personnel with engineering improvement tasks.
Exercise judgment on assigned projects or tasks.
Use welding gases to produce quality welds and set up fixtures for welding tasks.
Fabrication, installation, and detailed assembly work as required.
