Job summary

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning in Nashville is looking for a Maintenance Technician II to perform routine HVAC maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics to prevent failures. You will work under supervision, handle parts delivery, and assist experienced technicians while delivering top-tier customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with HVAC training and 2+ years’ experience, EPA/safety certifications, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work flexible

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with HVAC training and 2+ years of experience.
• Must possess valid licensing or certification as required by law for the geographical work area.
• EPA and safety certifications required.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and equipment functionality.
• Proficient mechanical aptitude and ability to operate all necessary tools.
• Reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems.
• Effective communication and time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Willing to work flexible hours and on-call shifts.
• Experience performing basic maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Ability to stand, climb ladders, access attics/crawl spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance calls under general supervision.
• Conduct routine precision tune-ups and maintenance on HVAC equipment and accessories.
• Inspect equipment and perform limited diagnostics to prevent problems and callbacks.
• Complete routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed.
• Deliver and remove parts and equipment for service work.
• Assist the Service Technician in servicing HVAC equipment.
• Record information on a handheld device and complete paperwork accurately; collect payments if needed.
• Communicate with dispatch to provide status updates.
• Deliver excellent customer service and sustain high customer satisfaction.
• Promote products and services; report replacement leads to Sales/Svc Coordinator.
• Ensure company property, vehicles and tools are properly used and maintained.
• Represent the company professionally and ethically in all matters.
• Follow procedures and keep the company vehicle stocked.
• Perform similar/other duties as needed.
