Lead HVAC (AC) Technician (Salary Negotiable)

We are a State Certified and Licensed Company. Our headquarters is in Broward County and we've been keeping South Florida cool since 1995. We are actively seeking a responsible and experienced Lead AC Service Technician - HVAC (Refrigeration is a plus) to start immediately. Must have hands-on field experience in Troubleshooting, Service & Installation. Sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications:
  • Experience - 8+ years of hands-on field experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration field.
  • Education - High School or GED.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.

Primary Job Function:
  • Service heating and air conditioning systems (residential & light commercial) to company standards, providing the customer with a high-quality experience.
  • Installation and maintenance jobs as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • 8+ years of hands-on HVAC/Refrigeration Service experience.
  • Proficient in all HVAC functional design, servicing, controls, and duct systems.
  • Proficient understanding of refrigerant, gas, and electric furnaces, heat pumps, troubleshooting, and installation of all residential and light commercial systems.
  • Exceptional safety knowledge of tools, testing devices, and surroundings.
  • Strong knowledge of all HVAC low voltage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and communicating systems.
  • Ability to consult on customer complaints and provide solutions that are beneficial for the customer as well as the company.
  • Willingness to invest time in in-service training seminars and classes.
  • Ability to test and balance systems.
  • Understand and apply all codes for residential systems.
  • Comfortable working with smartphones and tablets.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • HVAC Service Technicians will accurately diagnose and repair customers' HVAC systems and ensure that they are highly satisfied.
  • Installation and replacement of residential and commercial HVAC equipment (air conditioners, heat pumps, WSHP, ductless split, etc.).
  • Install HVAC-related equipment following company policies and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Carry out the wiring of both low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment.
  • Installation of flex duct systems and ventilation products in residential and light commercial buildings.
  • Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering.
  • You should have the ability to fabricate both metal & fiber ductwork and fittings.
  • Safely work with heights and in tight working conditions from extension to step ladders.
  • You should have the ability to operate power and hand tools safely.
  • You should have the ability to use safe lifting procedures and the ability to use a full range of body motions: climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, lifting, bending, and twisting.
  • Keep company vehicles clean with necessary inventory stocked.
  • Must have a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, and pass a background check.
  • Properly complete paperwork and update records for jobs.
  • Maintain a clean (well-groomed) and professional appearance.
  • Participate in training so that you can grow and develop as a professional.
