Overview

Are you a seasoned HVAC professional looking to lead projects and mentor a team? Join Apple Air Heating Cooling Electric & Plumbing, a trusted Long Island-based provider with over 38 years of expertise in residential HVAC services. We're seeking a Lead HVAC Installer to take charge of system installations, ensure high-quality standards, and guide our field technicians toward excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Installation Projects: Oversee the installation of residential HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with all manufacturer specifications, building codes, and safety standards.

  • Mentor and Supervise Installers: Provide on-site leadership, direction, and support to junior technicians and apprentices.

  • Plan and Coordinate: Collaborate with project managers and other team members to schedule jobs, allocate resources, and meet deadlines.

  • System Setup & Testing: Connect, calibrate, and test HVAC systems, including ductwork, electrical wiring, and controls, ensuring peak performance.

  • Customer Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact with homeowners during installation. Provide system education, answer questions, and resolve concerns professionally.

  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety policies on job sites and ensure all work meets local codes and Apple Air standards.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete job orders, inspection reports, and installation records.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC vocational training or certification strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC installation experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory role.

  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC components, controls, and installation techniques.

  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.

  • Comfortable using hand and power tools specific to HVAC work.

  • Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and organizational skills.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service abilities.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
