Job description

Glenmont HVAC is looking for a Lead HVAC Installer to join our team! You will install, service, and repair heating and air conditioning systems. Carrier Three-Time Presidents Award winner and a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer. Glenmont provides uniforms, vehicle, factory training and pays for 100% of Health and Dental Premium. We also provide a $1,200 Health Savings Account and paid time off. Applicants must possess CFC license, hand tools and a clean driving record. Journeyman License or minimum of Apprentice license with experience required. Hourly wage depends on knowledge and ability. Submit resume and contact information.

Responsibilities:

• Lead Installer will be responsible for installing new/replacement equipment and providing excellent customer service to residential and commercial heating and air conditioning customers.
• Work on a variety of projects and tasks related to the HVAC trade: Residential Furnace, Air Conditioner, Heat Pump, Ductless Mini Splits, Boilers and Light Commercial Rooftops. Ductwork, Condensate Drains, Hydronic Piping, Venting, Refrigerant Piping, Gas Piping & Insulation. Line and Low Voltage Wiring, controls, and programming.
• Occasionally be expected to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
• Provide their own hand tools necessary to complete daily tasks (All other tools will be company provided).
• Must be competent with the preparation, testing and start-up of new HVAC equipment.
• Interface with customers in their homes and places of work and therefore must maintain an acceptable appearance and manners.
• Will be expected to follow all established and normal safety precautions while on the job.
• Work with a less experienced crew member and will be expected to help train and teach their partner as the work allows.
• Will be expected to perform physical activities and occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs.
• Be present and on-time for scheduled workdays and times.
• Will report to and take direction from the Install manager and follow all established company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in HVAC or other related fields.
• Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
