Monar Air Conditioning is growing, Grow With Us.

We are a State Certified and Licensed Company. Our headquarters is in Broward County and we've been keeping South Florida cool since 1995. We seek a responsible and experienced AC Maintenance Technician - HVAC (Refrigeration is a plus) to start immediately. Must have hands-on field experience in residential and light commercial maintenance. Sales experience is a plus. Must be available on Saturdays.

Qualifications:

• Experience - 5+ years of hands-on field experience in residential & light commercial Installation
• Education - High School or GED.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.

Primary Job Function:

• Install split unit air handlers and condensers.
• Install package units on rooftops and the ground.
• Install ductless mini-splits.
• Install ceiling-mounted air handlers (pancake units).
• Perform maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems (residential & light commercial) as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• 5+ years of hands-on HVAC split units and package unit experience.
• Proficient understanding of refrigerant, gas, and electric furnaces, heat pumps, troubleshooting, and installation of all residential and light commercial systems.
• Exceptional safety knowledge of tools, testing devices, and surroundings.
• Strong knowledge of all HVAC low voltage systems.
• Willingness to invest time in in-service training seminars and classes.
• Comfortable working with smartphones and tablets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• HVAC installation technicians will perform AC Unit installations per the Florida Building Code.
• Installation and replacement of residential and commercial HVAC equipment (air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless split, etc.).
• Safely work with heights and in tight working conditions from extension and step ladders.
• You should be comfortable working on rooftops and attics.
• You should have the ability to operate power and hand tools safely.
• You should have the ability to use safe lifting procedures and the ability to use a full range of body motions: climbing, balancing, kneeling, reaching, lifting, bending, and twisting.
• Keep company van clean with necessary inventory stocked.
• Must have a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, and pass a background check.
• Properly complete paperwork and update records.
• Maintain a clean (well-groomed) and professional appearance.
• Participate in training so that you can grow and develop as a professional.
