Job summary

GVEC is seeking an HVAC Lead Installation Technician to lead an installation team, deliver quality workmanship, and stay up to date on new technologies. You will supervise on-site installations, train team members, and ensure safety and high standards in every project.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customers and other managers, managing tools and inventory, and delivering installations on schedule while maintaining exceptional service quality.

What We Are Looking For

GVEC is looking to hire you for the position of HVAC Lead Installation Technician to deliver the unexpected with a willingness to continuously develop yourself, your department, and our organization. As a HVAC Lead Installation Technician, you will help in performing specialized tasks and leading an HVAC installation team. This includes maintaining a well-trained team that is up to date on new technologies, using tools and materials properly, and providing each customer with quality workmanship.

Your Pay

The minimum starting pay for this role is $29.00/hr and will be commensurate based on your skills, qualifications and experience. In addition, GVEC ties cash bonuses to a multitude of organizational benchmarks set forth annually.

How You’ll Help

• Oversee the installation team and subcontractors while on the job site
• Train new team members
• Ensure that installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment meets company technical and safety standards
• Work with customers to provide exceptional HVAC installation experience
• Communicate effectively with other managers in the HVAC department as well as in other departments as needed
• Monitor inventory and supplies, including maintenance of tools and equipment
• Coordinate staff, contractors, and materials to complete HVAC installations on time

Experience/Skills You’ll Need

• Handle heavy equipment and work outdoors
• Demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Must be a team player with the resolve to provide and take constructive criticism that helps evolve the team
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail when on the job
• Excellent problem -solving skills - able to effectively troubleshoot minor issue

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the HVAC trade
• HVAC degree or equivalent field experience with certification from a technical/trade school
• Previous leadership experience
