Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. in Suwanee, Georgia is seeking a dedicated HVAC laboratory tester to support product engineering by conducting daily tests, collecting data, and preparing test reports. The role emphasizes hands-on testing rather than software testing.

The candidate should have a B.S. in engineering or equivalent experience, with HVAC/refrigeration exposure, basic circuit knowledge, and strong communication and writing skills. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of AC and DC circuits.
• Ability to read wiring schematics (highly preferred).
• 1+ years’ experience in HVAC, Refrigeration or related field (preferred).
• 1+ year experience in a testing or laboratory environment (preferred).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
• Team oriented, self-motivated and analytical approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Execute HVAC product testing daily, including data collection and summary of results.
• Identify and set up test equipment for each test.
• Perform special testing including air leakage and airflow measurement.
• Work with management and engineering to develop test plans and schedules.
• Assist calibration activities with third party vendors.
• Develop work instructions applicable to laboratory activities.
• Research and implement test standards for product testing.
• Prepare and plan certification testing for UL and EPA requirements.
• Support third party testing for research and strategic initiatives.
• Support annual offsite testing for AHRI certification.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
