Johnson Controls Inc. seeks skilled HVAC Journeymen for on-site work in Capitol Heights, MD. You will support light to heavy commercial HVACR systems, perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance in partnership with a union workforce.

Candidates should have 3+ years of industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience, be prepared to join the local union, and travel as needed. A strong focus on safety and customer service is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in HVAC
• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO
• Able to travel 10–20% to support branch activities
• Capable of installing, repairing, and servicing rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors

Responsibilities

May be required to satisfactorily pass an examination to identify special skills. Scope of work shall be limited to commercial HVACR service. Servicemen may partner with Journeymen in the repair of centrifugal, steam turbines, and open-drive screw chillers.
