Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Mechanical Journeyman to support light and heavy commercial HVAC projects in Pasadena, TX. You will install and retrofit HVAC systems, troubleshoot boilers, chillers, steam systems, and coordinate with project teams while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of related experience, valid licenses for refrigerants and boiler/steam work, and strong communication skills to maintain clear client interactions throughout installations and service

Qualifications

• Requires Mechanical Journeyman status.
• 5+ years of light commercial / commercial HVAC / mechanical Pipefitter/Welder experience.
• Valid driver's license, refrigerant, boiler and steam licenses knowledge.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and retrofit HVAC mechanical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems including boilers, chillers, and steam systems.
• Join pipes using various methods (e.g., soldering, brazing, welding).
• Oversee project installations and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain communication with customers and project teams.
• Uphold safety standards and participate in factory certification programs.

Pay Range: $40.25 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
