As an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Journeyman Lead Installer, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of HVAC systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings, including remodels and renovations. This role is essential to ensure that HVAC systems are installed correctly, efficiently, according to code, and safely. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements, including system specifications, layout, and design.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of HVAC installers, technicians, and apprentices. Delegate tasks and ensure installations adhere to plans and safety standards.
- Installation: Perform HVAC system installations, including ductwork, piping, wiring, and equipment setup, ensuring proper sizing and configuration.
- Quality Control: Conduct inspections to verify work quality, compliance with regulations, and system functionality. Make necessary adjustments.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, ensure PPE use, and identify safety hazards.
