Commercial/Industrial HVAC Journeyman Installer

As a Journeyman HVAC Installer in the commercial/industrial construction group, you will participate in all aspects of the installation process.

Job functions and duties (other duties may be assigned):

  1. Follow blueprints or engineering specifications to mount and assemble units.
  2. Install and direct installation of ductwork and HVAC equipment.
  3. Direct/manage Laborers and Apprentices.
  4. Order Materials.
  5. Conduct Job Coordination Meetings.
  6. Train and mentor Apprentices.

Must show competency in:

  1. Vendor relations.
  2. Managing a purchase order log.
  3. Understanding of Foreman duties as it pertains to labor and cost management of a job.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. 4+ years HVAC install experience (industrial/commercial preferred).

Language Skills:

  1. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  2. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  3. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

  1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  2. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

  1. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  2. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Valid driver's license.
