Job summary

Louisiana Delta Community College in Louisiana seeks an HVAC/HACR instructor for a 12-month faculty position. The role involves teaching 35 hours per week across spring, summer, and fall terms, developing curriculum, and engaging diverse learners to meet course objectives.

Qualified candidates will have an associate degree/technical diploma in HVAC/HACR or related field, at least three years in the industry, and strong communication skills. Teaching experience and LMS familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Technical Diploma in HVAC, HACR or related field.
• Minimum of three years of industry experience in electrical trades or HVAC fields.
• Strong communication skills and ability to teach adults.
• Experience with instructional technology and diverse student populations.
• Commitment to Louisiana Delta Community College mission and accreditation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Teach 35 hours per week during spring, summer, and fall semesters.
• Develop and use effective teaching methods and materials.
• Classes may be day, afternoon, evening, and/or weekends.
• Maintain office hours and grade records; respond to information requests.
• Design and develop curriculum within state and accreditation guidelines.
• Participate in student recruitment, placement, advisement, and committees.
• Engage in assessment and placement of students and program improvement.
