Job summary

Fortis College in Dothan is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Tech to join its faculty on a part-time basis. The primary responsibility is to teach HVAC/R courses, typically two courses per term with one or two preparations. You will also advise students and participate in department activities and graduation.

The ideal candidate has a certificate/diploma in HVAC/R (associate degree preferred), plus at least three years of field experience and relevant certifications. EEO statement provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited HVAC/R program resulting in certificate or diploma.
• At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven.
• Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach HVAC/R courses as a part-time faculty member.
• Provide academic advising to students.
• Participate in department meetings, training, and graduation activities.
• Report to HVAC Program Director.
