Job summary

Fortis College in Indy is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician to join its faculty. This part-time role will teach in the HVAC/R Program and provide academic advising to students, assisting the program director and participating in department activities.

Applicants should have completed an HVAC/R program (certificate/diploma; associate degree preferred), EPA Universal certification, and at least three years of field experience. Prior teaching experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of an HVAC/R program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; associate degree preferred
• Certifications Required: HVAC, EPA Universal
• Certifications Desired but not required: Journeyman, Nate
• At least three years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior postsecondary/higher education teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach HVAC/R courses in the program
• Provide academic advising to students
• Assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation
