Appointed by the Chancellor of the College upon recommendation of the Vice Chancellor of Education and Planning

SALARY RANGE

$52,500 - $64,000 depending upon years of teaching experience and education

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

This is a 9-month, full-time position. The HVAC/R Instructor is responsible for providing classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction in related courses. The instructor will prepare students for employment in industrial, commercial, and industrial settings while maintaining industry standards, safe work practices, and workforce readiness expectations. Instructors may be assigned classes at any of the four River Parishes Community College campuses (Gonzales, Reserve, Plaquemine, and St. Charles), as determined by student need and institutional demand. Teaching needs may include face-to-face, hybrid, online, day, evening, and/or weekend classes. Full-time faculty are expected to actively serve on campus committees, participate in campus activities, engage in student advising and recruitment efforts, and support workforce development initiatives.
