Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer for new construction projects. You will read plans, rough-in ductwork, install heat exchangers, refrigerant lines, and wire low-voltage systems to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with other trades on site. A valid driver’s license and HVAC experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC apprenticeship or tech school preferred.
• Proven experience as HVAC installer/technician in a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and functionality.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation sequence.
• Perform rough-in work; layout and install duct systems, vents, baths fans, returns, and line sets per design and codes.
• Finish work: set and mount air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories.
• Install and connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage wiring per diagrams and safety standards.
• Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as necessary.
• Collaborate with project foreman and other trades for cohesive project execution.
• Comply with safety standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Ensure all installations meet building code requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
