Blue Mountain Construction Services in Vacaville, CA, has an immediate opening for an HVAC Installer I.

Job Summary

Installation of HVAC systems for Residential New Construction Projects. The HVAC Installer I will be responsible for basic heating and air conditioning installation. This role offers a great opportunity to be part of a progressive company and work alongside dedicated professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Running flue vents for standard and high-efficiency furnaces.
• Sealing all duct connections with metal tape and duct sealer.
• Running refrigerant line-sets from furnace coil to outside air conditioners.
• Installing a furnace and coil in the correct location with 30" of clearance.
• Installing ductwork level and securing it to meet code requirements.
• Installing kitchen hood vents in the correct location.
• Installing registers securely, square, and level to the wall without damage or scratches.
• Installing return air grills facing the correct direction with a filter.
• Installing thermostats, wiring them correctly, and ensuring they are level.

Key Job Requirements

• Prior experience in construction preferred.
• EPA Certification is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with colleagues and customers.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Ability to transport a 6-foot ladder and tools.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Ability to follow directions and use hand tools.
• Own tools preferred, but some may be provided.
• Ability to read field drawings.
• Complete tasks timely with minimal supervision, complying with California Code.

Physical Requirements

Work is primarily at property sites with travel between locations. Exposure to rain, dust, noise, heat, cold, and fumes is possible. Tasks may involve crawling, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Work hours are primarily Monday through Friday, with some overtime and weekends. Must tolerate temperatures above 80°F for extended periods.
