Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling in Madison, WI, is hiring an HVAC Installer-Construction to install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on new construction projects. You will collaborate with other trades to ensure safe, efficient, and code‑compliant installations.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing rough‑in work, and finishing installations with attention to airflow and system operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• Proven experience as HVAC installer/technician in a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and functionality.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation sequence.
• Perform rough‑in work; layout and install duct systems, vents, baths, and line sets per design and codes.
• Finish work: mount air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories; ensure proper airflow and operation.
• Install and connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low‑voltage/equipment wiring per diagrams, codes, and safety standards.
• Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as necessary.
• Collaborate with project foreman and other trades to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution.
• Comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
