Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking an HVAC Installer for Houston, TX, to install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in new construction projects. The role requires technical expertise and ability to collaborate with construction professionals to ensure safe, efficient installations.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, rough-in and finish work, piping, and coordinating with foreman and trades. Valid driver’s license and HVAC experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; HVAC tech training preferred.
• Proven experience in HVAC installation in construction environments.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specs to determine layout and installation sequence.
• Perform rough-in and finish work for duct systems, air handlers, furnaces, and related components.
• Install refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage wiring per diagrams and codes.
• Collaborate with foreman and other trades to ensure coordinated execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.

Responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in new construction projects. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals to ensure that all systems are installed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation sequence.


• Perform rough-in work; layout and install duct systems, vents, bath fans, returns, and line sets per design and state/local codes.


• Perform finish work: set and mount air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories; ensure proper airflow and operation.


• Install and connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage/equipment wiring in accordance with diagrams, codes, and safety standards.


• Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as necessary.


• Collaborate with project foreman and other trades to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution.


• Comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.


• Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification or apprenticeship in HVAC preferred.


• Proven experience as an HVAC installer or technician in a construction environment.


• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and functionality.


• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Valid driver’s license.
