Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking an HVAC installer/technician for new construction projects. You will read blueprints, lay out ductwork, install air handlers and equipment, and ensure safe, code-compliant installations.

Collaborate with the foreman and other trades while prioritizing safety and craftsmanship. A high school diploma or equivalent plus HVAC training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• Proven experience as HVAC installer/technician in a construction environment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and operation.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation sequence.
• Perform rough-in work; layout and install duct systems, vents, baths, returns, and line sets per code.
• Finish work: install air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories.
• Install refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage wiring per diagrams and codes.
• Collaborate with foreman and other trades to coordinate project execution.
• Maintain safety standards and a clean work environment.
• Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in new construction projects. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals to ensure that all systems are installed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical plans, and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation sequence.
• Perform rough-in work; layout and install duct systems, vents, bath fans, returns, and line sets per design and state/local codes.
• Perform finish work: set and mount air handlers, furnaces, condensers, HRVs/ERVs, thermostats, grilles, registers, and accessories; ensure proper airflow and operation.
• Install and connect refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and low-voltage/equipment wiring in accordance with diagrams, codes, and safety standards.
• Measure and determine ductwork and piping requirements; cut materials to size and assemble as necessary.
• Collaborate with project foreman and other trades to ensure cohesive and coordinated project execution.
• Comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Ensure all installations meet safety and building code requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
