Jim's Heating & Cooling Garden City, ID is seeking an HVAC Installer Apprentice. You'll work alongside experienced installation technicians learning how to install residential heating and air conditioning systems.

Through hands-on training, you'll develop the skills to become a professional HVAC Installer while gaining valuable field experience on a variety of residential projects. This entry-level role is ideal for recent trade school graduates or mechanically inclined individuals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude and dependable attendance.
• Mechanical aptitude with an interest in working with tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable working on ladders and in physically demanding environments.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of residential heating and air conditioning systems.
• Help remove and replace furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment.
• Learn proper installation techniques for ductwork, refrigerant lines, thermostats, and ventilation components.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and installation equipment.
• Load materials, organize job sites, and maintain company vehicles.
• Follow installation specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and company quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area at every job site.
• Deliver courteous, professional customer service while working in customers' homes.
• Participate in ongoing technical and safety training.
