Base pay range

$23.00/hr - $33.00/hr

Role Description

• Install HVAC systems, including ductwork, air handlers, condensing units, and thermostats.
• Interpret blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturer's instructions to ensure proper installation of HVAC systems.
• Connect refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and controls for HVAC systems.
• Test HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems as needed.
• Maintain and clean HVAC equipment and components to ensure proper operation and longevity.
• Communicate with customers to explain installation or repair processes and answer any questions or concerns.
• Complete the necessary paperwork and documentation for each job.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times.

Qualifications

• Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC installation is required.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and equipment required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design specifications, and manufacturer's instructions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• 608/Universal EPA card not required but must be willing to get within the first 6 months

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.

Working Conditions:

• Work is typically performed indoors and outdoors, and may require working in cramped or uncomfortable positions.
• Overtime may be required during peak times.
