The Position

RCL Mechanical is looking for a HVAC Installer that can represent our core values and perform calls for HVAC clients. This individual will be working closely with dispatch and our service manager. The technician is tasked with client satisfaction and efficient field execution on all calls, having overall responsibility for the success of the call from start to finish. We are looking to deliver the best service and we always strive for a 5-star service rating with all of our customers!

Responsibilities

• Execute the installation of HVAC systems in residential and light commercial settings, including heating, cooling, and ventilation units.
• Ensure all required materials, tools, and equipment are ready for the installation process.
• Review and comprehend HVAC system blueprints, specifications, design plans, and technical documents to facilitate accurate installations.
• Assemble and configure HVAC equipment, such as air handlers, condensers, furnaces, and ductwork, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
• Fabricate and install ductwork for proper airflow distribution, efficiency and design.
• Install and reconnect electrical components, thermostats, and control systems, ensuring proper wiring and functionality.
• Conduct thorough inspections of installed systems to ensure compliance with company standards, local & state codes, and regulations.
• Perform operational tests on installed HVAC systems to verify functionality and efficiency.
• Provide customers with information and guidance on the operation and maintenance of newly installed HVAC systems.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices to enhance installation techniques and skills.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive interactions with clients.
• Obtain positive Google reviews from satisfied customers, contributing to the company's online reputation.
• Promote and encourage memberships to the Total Home Care Club to customers.
• Keep service vehicles clean and organized to reflect a professional image.
• Additional responsibilities will be undertaken diligently to align with company requirements and job expectations.
• Availability for rotating schedules, including weekends and off-hours on-call duty, is a mandatory requirement for this position.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC program or relevant certifications.
• EPA 608 certification but will be required during employment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Install Technician.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and refrigeration units.
• Familiarity with HVAC control systems and their components.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in HVAC equipment installation, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions up to and over 50lbs.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
• Ability to manage time efficiently to complete tasks within deadlines.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
