Job summary

Ultimate Heating, Air & Plumbing is seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Installer to join our team. You will install residential HVAC systems safely, ensure quality standards are met, and deliver a five-star customer experience in customers' homes.

Competitive compensation ($60,000–$110,000 per year), paid time off, insurance, retirement benefits, and ongoing training are provided. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for growth and leadership.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • EPA/OSHA certifications preferred but not required.

The Role (What You’ll Own)

This is more than installing heating and cooling systems—it’s about delivering quality workmanship and an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.

You will:

  • Install residential HVAC systems safely and efficiently
  • Ensure every installation meets company quality standards
  • Deliver a professional, five-star customer experience
  • Represent Ultimate Heating, Air & Plumbing with pride and professionalism
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Technical Execution:
  • Install residential furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and related HVAC equipment
  • Install ductwork, refrigerant lines, condensate drains, thermostats, controls, and ventilation systems
  • Remove and replace existing HVAC equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform equipment start-ups and verify proper operation
  • Perform brazing, wiring, evacuation, charging, and mechanical assembly as required
  • Read and interpret installation manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
  • Follow manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company installation standards
Customer Experience:
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process
  • Protect customer homes and maintain a clean work environment
  • Answer customer questions and explain installed equipment
  • Deliver a five-star installation experience on every project
Performance & Accountability:
  • Take ownership of installation quality and job performance
  • Complete installation paperwork accurately and on time
  • Maintain productivity while delivering exceptional workmanship
  • Continuously improve through training and coaching
Standards & Consistency:
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
  • Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment
  • Keep work areas organized and professional
  • Follow company processes and quality standards on every installation
Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Lead Installers and Install Managers
  • Support teammates to complete projects efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse, dispatch, and leadership
  • Contribute to a positive team culture
What We’re Looking For
  • 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and MVR
  • 1–3 years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
  • Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EPA Certification
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Residential HVAC installation experience
  • Ductwork fabrication and installation experience
  • Heat pump and mini-split installation experience
  • High-efficiency equipment experience
  • ServiceTitan experience
  • Brazing and electrical troubleshooting experience

Experience:
