Job summary

Dauenhauer Plumbing, Heating & Air, part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking a skilled HVAC Install Technician to install residential and light commercial systems in Lexington, KY. The role emphasizes quality workmanship, detail, and strong customer service on every project.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of HVAC installation experience, a valid Journeyman license, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Physical stamina and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in residential or light commercial HVAC installation (required).
• Valid Journeyman HVAC License.
• EPA Universal Certification (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals.
• Strong understanding of HVAC system design, airflow, and duct layout.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and ventilation components.
• Lay out, fabricate, and install ductwork and related fittings to specification.
• Perform start-up, testing, and commissioning of newly installed equipment.
• Ensure installations meet local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and vehicles.
• Work closely with Install Leads, Supervisors, and other team members to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners or building occupants regarding system operation and maintenance. Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Install Technician to join our growing team.

This role is responsible for the installation of residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of experience in residential or light commercial HVAC installation (required).
• Valid Journeyman HVAC License
• HVAC trade school certificate or equivalent experience.
• EPA Universal Certification (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals.
• Strong understanding of HVAC system design, airflow, and duct layout.
• Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and meet the physical demands of the job.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
