Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Installation Mechanic II to join our fast-growing Select Team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Independently install equipment and duct work
• Complete paperwork daily, and record materials used on each job, in an accurate manner
• Coordinate with general contractors in other trades on installing equipment and duct work
• Ability to layout roof curbs
• Ability to fabricate duct fittings and lay out job without supervision
• Ability to read blueprints and lay out duct
• Create a Material list off of blueprints
• Perform all jobs with safety first in mind

Accountabilities

• Continual learning and development in the body of knowledge through FirstCall Academy, to ensure we set the bar for skill level in the industry
• Elite level of customer service, to ensure we continue to be the FirstCall our customers make for their HVAC needs

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

This position reports to the local Branch Manager and is responsible for engaging with the install team and all of our customers.

Qualifications

• 3-6+ years of experience in install mechanic
• Valid Driver's License w/acceptable driving record
• OSHA 10 required
• Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret State Mechanical Codes
• Ability to frequently lift 75 pounds and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Sufficient physical ability to work in awkward places and from ladders or scaffolding as required by projects

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Able to effectively present information in small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and interpret graphs.

Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several variables.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to use hands, stand, walk, sit, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
