Job summary

Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical is hiring an HVAC Technician in Huntsville, AL. The role involves installing, soldering, and wiring HVAC systems, plus performing code-compliant inspections and accurate invoicing calculations.

You will mentor colleagues weekly, uphold state HVAC codes, and contribute to a customer‑focused, safety‑mirtored team with year‑round work. EPA/NATE credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• HVAC system replacements performed to building codes.
• Soldering and electrical work related to HVAC projects.
• Conduct thorough HVAC inspections and relay findings to clients.
• Perform HVAC and invoicing calculations.
• Know and follow all state HVAC codes.
• Mentor team members and apprentices weekly.

Responsibilities

• Perform all HVAC replacements to code.
• Solder and perform electrical work linked to HVAC projects.
• Conduct thorough HVAC inspections and communicate findings to clients.
• Perform calculations for HVAC work and invoicing.
• Adhere to all applicable state HVAC codes.
• Mentor team members and apprentices on metrics weekly.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to perform all HVAC replacements to code
• Ability to solder and perform necessary electrical work associated with the HVAC project
• Must be capable of performing a thorough and accurate HVAC inspection and communicating findings to the client.
• Ability to perform calculations necessary for HVAC work as well as calculations necessary for invoicing purposes
• Must know and adhere to all state HVAC code.
• Mentor team members and apprentices weekly on team's performance metrics

Education/Certification Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• NATE Certification preferred.
• HVAC certification or Diploma preferred.

Sign-On bonus requirement: 305 years verifiable HVAC Install Experience.
