Mountain Air Mechanical Contractors in Arden, NC is hiring a Residential HVAC Install Assistant to learn the trade while supporting Lead Installers on installations for residential and light commercial systems. You will prepare jobsites, handle materials, and assist with air handlers, furnaces and ductwork, all while delivering quality workmanship.

You should be reliable, eager to learn, and able to lift 50+ pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops and outdoors.
• Construction, mechanical or HVAC exposure is helpful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Support Lead Installers with system replacements and new installations.
• Help install furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, ductwork and thermostats.
• Prepare jobsites by organizing tools, materials and equipment.
• Load and unload company vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Measure, cut and assemble ductwork and HVAC components.
• Help test systems to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas and follow safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service while respecting customers’ homes.
• Develop technical knowledge through hands-on training and coaching.
