Job summary

Applied Mechanical Group is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to learn all aspects of AMG products and systems. You will coordinate submittals, equipment selection, pricing and ship dates for each project, while maintaining strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires detailed organization, clear written and oral communication with the Sales Team, Customers and Manufacturers, and the ability to work with others in a field-oriented office setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in MEP consulting or design is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and manage high-volume projects.
• Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration.
• Optimize the project through stages of product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering, and redesigns.
• Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
• Communicate with owners, architects, MEP consultants and general mechanical and electrical contractors.
• Organize project-related data for order entry.
• Respond to and track IOM and Submittal requests.
• Read, understand and interpret building plans and specifications.
• Develop and grow relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers and manufacturers.
• Determine project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet customer design, installation and maintenance expectations.
• Investigate concerns, implement corrective action and communicate with customers and coworkers as necessary to maximize customer satisfaction.
