Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an HVAC Technician 2 to deliver portable HVAC equipment, install and train customers on safe usage, and perform repairs and inspections. The role includes on-call emergency support on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years HVAC experience or training.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to work after hours/weekends.
• HVAC Certificate preferred, indicating formal training and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
• Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment; train operators or customers on safe use.
• Direct customers to sign paperwork and track serial numbers.
• Troubleshoot and understand operation, specs, capabilities, and controls of equipment.
• Operate company vehicle safely and follow safety policies.
• Test returned equipment and ensure operation and appearance meet standards.
• Complete paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
• Install flexible gas hose for propane and natural gas applications.
• Check gas connections safely and accurately.
• Maintain records of in-stock and rented equipment with managers and sales engineers.
• Be on call for emergency service on weekends/evenings.
