Job summary

Hoffman Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented HVAC Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance, start-up, warranty, and repair on light commercial and industrial equipment.

Strong emphasis on customer service with occasional after-hours calls for emergencies. Candidates should have an Associate’s degree or HVAC certificate, 5+ years of experience, and EPA refrigerant handling credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with HVAC certificate.
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience preferred.
• Operational knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software preferred.
• EPA mandated card for safe refrigerant handling; Universal certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service a variety of HVAC products and equipment and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Read and understand blueprints, equipment manuals, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Use hand-tools and specialty equipment typical of commercial HVAC service.
• Identify, diagnose, and repair systems at customer sites.
• Conduct site surveys and provide sales leads as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and on-site repairs as requested by customers.
• Coordinate on-site work, gather materials, and communicate with customers.
